Thermocouple wire is a flexible, insulated wire used to link a thermocouple to a temperature control device. It may also be used to make the sensing point (or probe) of the thermocouple. The wire determines the component's temperature and relays the information to the device. It works accurately over a wider temperature range than thermocouple extension wire.
