SEOW portable cord is a service cord with a flexible thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) jacket that is oil-, water-, and weather-resistant. The TPE material softens when heated then hardens when cooled. SEOW cord is more resistant to water than SOOW portable cord and can be used at lower temperatures, but it is less durable. It is often used to supply temporary power for industrial projects, construction tools, and other electrical equipment.
