These wheels each have a conductive rubber core and tread that disperse static electricity by allowing it to flow to the ground. Also known as conductive casters, they are used on carts that will be transporting electronic components and other sensitive equipment. The casters help prevent static electricity buildup that can damage the equipment on the carts, harm the people who touch the carts, or cause sparks that can ignite flammable vapors near the carts. Conductive solid rubber wheels are used in medical settings, laboratories, computer rooms, cleanrooms, electronics manufacturing facilities, and other areas where static electricity buildup is a concern.

Wheels with rubber treads are suitable for most types of flooring and provide more floor protection than wheels with metal treads. They are available in a range of hardnesses.
