Features rack and pinion operation for smooth and constant control of the door through its full opening and closing cycle. This NORTON DOOR CLOSERS door closer unit has Tri-Style® design that allows for parallel arm, regular, and top jamb installations. The sweep speed control valve lets you adjust the door speed from a full open position to about 10° from the closed position. A latch speed control valve allows adjustment of the door speed from about 10° down to the door’s fully closed position. Door closer also has an adjustable backcheck cushion valve that controls the door opening cycle beginning at about 75° of door opening. The valve slows the door opening when the door is forced open beyond its pre-adjusted opening speed limits.
