Product Description

3M™ Cubitron™ II Hookit™ Paper Discs are designed for stock removal on a wide variety of substrates including metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood. They are also designed to offer an alternative to adhesive-backed discs, which may become contaminated by dust or dirt. They attach to a hook-and-loop backup disc pad (sold separately), can be removed cleanly and easily, and can be re-used for the extent of the abrasive life. The open-coat design features additional space between abrasive grains to help evacuate dust and avoid clogging the cutting edge of the grains. A load-resistant coating also allows the disc to continue cutting even when sanding softwoods, paints, and other materials that would otherwise clog the disc and hinder sanding ability. Each grain also features a self-sharpening triangular shape, designed to cut through material smoothly rather than gouging or plowing.
