Product Description

These coveralls with secondary flame resistance protect workers from hazardous dry particulates; hazardous heavy-chemical splash and spray; and hazardous vapors and gases. Secondary flame-resistant clothing is worn over a baselayer of personal flame-resistant clothing (such as shirts and pants) when there is an intermittent or low risk of encountering fire. These garments are not a primary source of flame protection. Dry particulates are larger in size than aerosols and include dust and dirt. Garments that provide heavy-chemical splash and spray resistance protect against a range of chemical- and biological-warfare agents; organic and inorganic acids and bases; solvents; and salts. They are worn when working with liquids under pressure in petrochemical manufacturing, emergency spill response, and in some medical applications. They are highly resistant to punctures, tears, and abrasion. Garments that protect against exposure to vapors and gases have taped seams and gas-tight closures. They are worn for hazmat response when gases and vapors are a hazard.
