Product Description
Steel tread wheels are made from hot-forged steel to create a strong wheel with excellent shock resistance. They can bear heavier loads than iron wheels. Steel wheels are suitable for moving extra-heavy loads on floors that are in poor condition. They are used in warehouses, manufacturing plants, and other industrial environments. Steel will rust if exposed to water, so these wheels are best suited for dry environments.
Metal tread wheels offer very high weight capacities and can withstand shock, abrasion, impact, rough use, and exposure to temperature extremes. The wheels' tread and core are manufactured as one piece from the same material. These wheels are suitable for use on carts, racks, trucks, trolleys, and similar equipment that will be carrying heavy loads over broken floors or debris. Metal tread wheels are heavier than wheels with rubber or plastic treads and are more likely to damage floors.
