Product Description

Safe-touch time-delay, indicating UL Class J fuses are finger-safe fuses that tolerate temporary inrush currents without opening, which prevents nuisance-blowing from motor and equipment startups. They are commonly used to protect electrical panelboards, machinery disconnects, and industrial controls. Also known as plug-in cube fuses, they have a square shape that provides a small footprint for limited-space applications and makes them compatible with finger-safe Class J fuse blocks and holders to help prevent contact with energized parts. These slow-blow fuses open to disconnect an electrical circuit when exposed to sustained loads and short circuits. They have a visual indicator to make it easier to identify blown fuses for replacement.

UL Class J fuses have a high interrupting rating for protecting against short circuits and are ideal for IEC motor starter applications. These 600VAC fuses are not interchangeable with any other UL fuse class. They are current-limiting to prevent electrical damage by disconnecting circuits before they're exposed to the full magnitude and duration of an overcurrent.
