Product Description
Standard National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) tie-rod hydraulic cylinders are double-acting steel cylinders rated to 2500 psi. Double-acting cylinders provide power in both directions, allowing for more precise positioning than single-acting cylinders. The rod is made of hard chrome-plated case-hardened steel to extend service life and provide smooth movement. An adjustable cushion slows piston speed near the end of the stroke to reduce impact stress and reduce vibration. Seals are replaceable and can be used with most hydraulic fluid.
National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) tie-rod hydraulic cylinders have four rods (bolts) that connect the ends of a double-acting hydraulic cylinder to add strength and stability to cylinder and prevent it from coming apart under pressure. They are built to NFPA and Joint Industrial Council (JIC) standards, making them interchangeable with all cylinders that have the same specifications and are built to those standards. Tie-rod cylinders are linear actuators used to support, lift, and press heavy loads in agricultural equipment, industrial machinery, and construction equipment.
