Extended-core stretch wrap has a built-in handle that extends from each end of the core, allowing workers to hold the core while wrapping and eliminating the need for separate handles. Handles are disposed of with the empty roll and cannot be reused. Wrap stretch film around the sides of a bundle to protect the contents from dust and moisture, prevent and indicate tampering, and keep items together.

Stretch wrap with a handle protects hands from the sharp edges of the core, reduces cuts and abrasions, and eliminates the need to purchase a handle separately. To apply the wrap, the worker holds the handle and walks around the bundle. Handheld stretch wrap rolls are smaller than machine-grade wrap, making it easy to transport around a facility.
