SECTION 4: FIRST AID MEASURES

4.1. Description of First Aid Measures
First-aid Measures General: In case of shortness of breath, give oxygen.
Immediate medical attention is required. If exposed or concerned: get medical
attention/advice. If you feel unwell, seek medical advice (show the label where
possible). Ensure that medical personnel are aware of the material(s) involved,
and take precautions to protect themselves. Show this safety data sheet to the
doctor in attendance. Keep victim under observation. Keep victim warm.
First-aid Measures After Inhalation: Move to fresh air. Oxygen or artificial
respiration if needed. Do not use mouth-to-mouth method if victim inhaled the
substance. Call a physician or Poison Control Center immediately. Induce
artificial respiration with the aid of a pocket mask equipped with a one-way valve
or other proper respiratory medical device. Get medical attention if symptoms
persist
First-aid Measures After Skin Contact: Call a physician or Poison Control Center
immediately. Get medical attention if irritation develops or persists.
First-aid Measures After Eye Contact: Get medical attention if irritation
develops or persists. Call a physician or Poison Control Center immediately.
First-aid Measures After Ingestion: Have victim rinse mouth thoroughly with
water. Get medical attention immediately. Do not induce vomiting without medical
advice. If vomiting occurs naturally, have victim lean forward to reduce risk of
aspiration.

4.2. Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Symptoms/Injuries:
Symptoms/Injuries After Inhalation:
Symptoms/Injuries After Skin Contact:
Symptoms/Injuries After Eye Contact:
Symptoms/Injuries After Ingestion:
Chronic Symptoms: Dizziness. Nausea. Irritation of eyes and mucous membranes. Skin
irritation. Prolonged exposure may cause chronic effects.

4.3. Indication of Any Immediate Medical Attention and Special Treatment
Needed
Provide general supportive measures and treat symptomatically. Keep victim under
observation. Symptoms may be delayed.

SECTION 5: FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES

5.1. Extinguishing Media
Suitable Extinguishing Media: Not available.
Unsuitable Extinguishing Media: Do not use a solid water stream as it may scatter
and spread fire.

5.2. Special Hazards Arising From the Substance or Mixture
Fire Hazard: Firefighters must use standard protective equipment including flame
retardant coat, helmet with face shield, gloves, rubber boots, and in enclosed
spaces, SCBA. Structural firefighters protective clothing will only provide
limited protection.
General fire hazards: Extremely flammable aerosol.
Explosion Hazard: Contents under pressure. Pressurized container may explode when
exposed to heat or flame. Fire may produce irritating, corrosive and/or toxic
gases.
Reactivity:

5.3. Advice for Firefighters
Precautionary Measures Fire:
Firefighting Instructions: In the event of fire and/or explosion do not breathe
fumes. Wear full protective clothing, including helmet, self-contained positive
pressure or pressure demand breathing apparatus, protective clothing and face
mask. Withdraw immediately in case of rising sound from venting safety devices or
any discoloration of tanks due to fire. Move containers from fire area if you can
do it without risk. For massive fire, use unmanned hose holders or monitor
nozzles; if this is impossible, withdraw from area and let fire burn. Cool
containers with flooding quantities of water until well after fire is out. Move
containers from fire area if you can do so without risk. Containers should be
cooled with water to prevent vapor pressure build up. For massive fire in cargo
area, use unmanned hose holder or monitor nozzles, if possible. If not, withdraw
and let fire burn out.
Specific methods: Use standard firefighting procedures and consider the hazards of
other involved materials. Move containers from fire area if you can do so without
risk. Use water spray to cool unopened containers. In the event of fire and/or
explosion do not breathe fumes.
Protection During Firefighting: Firefighters must use standard protective
equipment including flame retardant coat, helmet with
face shield, gloves, rubber boots, and in enclosed spaces, SCBA. Structural
firefighters protective clothing will only provide limited protection.

SECTION 6: ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

6.1. Personal Precautions, Protective Equipment and Emergency Procedures
General Measures: Use personal protective equipment. Keep unnecessary personnel
away. Keep people away from and upwind of spill/leak. Ventilate closed spaces
before entering. Keep out of low areas. Wear appropriate protective equipment and
clothing during clean-up. Do not breathe gas. Stay upwind. Do not touch damaged
containers or spilled material unless wearing appropriate protective clothing.
Ventilate closed spaces before entering them. Local authorities should be advised
if significant spillages cannot be contained. For personal protection, see section
8 of the SDS.

6.1.1. For Non-emergency Personnel
Protective Equipment:
Emergency Procedures:

6.1.2. For Emergency Responders
Protective Equipment:
Emergency Procedures:

6.2. Environmental Precautions
Avoid release to the environment. Inform appropriate managerial or supervisory
personnel of all environmental releases. Prevent further leakage or spillage if
safe to do so. Avoid discharge into drains, water courses or onto the ground.

6.3. Methods and Material for Containment and Cleaning Up
For Containment: Refer to attached safety data sheets and/or instructions for
use. Eliminate all ignition sources (no smoking, flares, sparks, or flames in
immediate area). Prevent entry into waterways, sewers, basements or confined
areas. Keep combustibles (wood, paper, oil, etc.) away from spilled material. Stop
leak if you can do so without risk. Move the cylinder to a safe and open area if
the leak is irreparable. Isolate area until gas has dispersed. Prevent entry into
waterways, sewer, basements or confined areas. Clean contaminated surface
thoroughly. Wipe up with absorbent material (e.g. cloth, fleece). For waste
disposal, see section 13 of the SDS. This material and its container must be
disposed of as hazardous waste.
