Potential Health Effects (Acute and Chronic)
SWALLOWING; Moderately toxic. May cause headache, dizziness,
in coordination, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and general weakness.
INHALATION; High concentrations of vapor cause irritation of the respiratory
tract, experienced as nasal discomfort and discharge, with chest pain and
coughing. Headache, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and drowsiness may occur.
SKIN CONTACT; Brief contact may cause slight irritation with itching and local
redness. Prolonged contact may cause severe irritation, with discomfort or
pain, local redness and swelling and possible tissue destruction.
EYE CONTACT; Cause severe irritation, experienced as discomfort or pain,
excess blinking and tear production, with marked excess redness and swelling
of the conjunctive. Prolonged contact may result in harmful amounts of
2-butoxy ethanol being absorbed through the skin.
OTHER HEALTH HAZARDS
A component in this product has been shown to cause red blood cell hemolytic
in laboratory animals and secondary injury to the kidney and liver. However,
humans appear to be resistant to this effect.

This product contains a very small amount of the trisodium salt of
nitrilotriacetic acid which is listed as a potential carcinogen for hazard
communications purposes under OSHA. Although large dietary does of NTA have
caused urinary tumors in laboratory animals, there is little likelihood that
NTA could cause cancer in humans, especially at sub toxic doses. The tri
sodium salt of EDTA did no cause cancer in laboratory animals.
